Matte Satin (Peau de Soie) Fabric
This Fabric is 59''/60'' in width. Each order comes in 1 full length piece. For example, if you order a quantity of 5, you will receive a 5 yard piece measuring 59''/60'' x 180''. If you order a quantity of 15, you will receive a full 15 yard piece measuring 59''/60'' x 540''.
This fabric is sold by the yard and cut to order.

Matte satin (peau de soie) fabric is 60" inches wide, 100% polyester and has a medium weight of 6 oz per linear yard. This fabric features a smooth satin feel with a stiff finish, which helps the fabric maintain a luxurious body. However, although the matte satin or peau de soie may feel like a satin, this fabric is far less shiny and has a unique matte appearance. It's got all the great qualities of a satin minus the sheen. This fabric's medium weight, strong body and matte finish make it a versatile choice for all types of garments, crafts and event decorations. This satin is frequently used in a variety of apparel including blouses, dresses, gowns and skirts. Given the fabric's medium weight and sturdiness, it can also be used for table covers, drapery, sashes, and other home and event decoration projects. Thousands of yards in stock in 25 different colors. This fabric is also commonly referred to as Matte Satin, Peau De Soie, and Dutchess Satin.

Is not the same color

Honestly, there is nothing wrong with the fabric. The fabric was good quality and shipping was fine. The problem I ran into was the advertised color of item was incorrect. What was posted was not what I received. I did contact the seller and their response was…that is an old photo and the color needs to be updated for what they were calling a jewel purple (magenta color) and monitor variances. The color of fabric I received was a grape purple (picture will be included) It was clearly not a monitor variance. They did say I could return it for the solution. This really put me in a bind for my customer’s need. My customer did say let’s use the purple but the dress would have been so beautiful in the advertised magenta color. I ordered this fabric mid January and today, Feb 3rd, the picture still has not been changed on the website.
